Summer Camp Information General Info What to Bring What Not to Bring Special Note on Electronics General Info Food The camp supplies food for all meals. Other food is also available at the trading post, but they are discouraged from bringing this into camp because it will attract ants and other varmints into their tents. Money Scouts should bring about $45 spending money for such things as handicraft kits for merit badges and related incidentals. (Quarters and $1 bills are encouraged by the trading post.). Our adults will serve as “bankers” for each patrol. The bankers keep their money for them in envelopes that are locked away so they do not lose it. The “bank” is open once a day, at the discretion of the adults. The meals eaten during the bus trips are covered by the Troop. Good Behavior Unlike a regular troop campout, we will be interacting with a large number of other troops at summer camp, in assemblies, the dining hall, and instructional activities. Each of our boys must be an ambassador of good will and good behavior for our troop in all of their interactions with other troops and with the camp staff. We are a large troop, and the misbehavior of even one Scout reflects badly on all of us.
